After a long wait, Tappsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar’s much-talked-about film ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ trailer has been released.
The film is based on the life struggles of Haryana-based world’s oldest sharpshooters, Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, played by Bhumi and Taapsee, respectively.
The trailer narrates the tale of real-life shooter-daadis Chandro and Prakashi, who broke away from the bounds of a patriarchal society and rose above their age and took up shooting at the age of 60. The both women want their granddaughters to learn shooting and encourage them towards a bright future as they did not want them to go through a lifetime of suppression.
The trailer also shows their fight against the society and how they overcome all the obstacles to win medals for the country.
Bhumi and Taapsee look promising as Prakashi and Chandro Tomar and literally hit the bulls-eye with their acting skills.
‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is produced by Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar and will mark the directorial debut of writer Tushar Hiranandani. The film set to release on this Diwali.
