Asha Bhosle Thanks Smriti Irani for saving her by rush post PM Modi’s oath ceremony

PM Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony took place in New Delhi on May 3, 2019. Many high profile personalities across the globe attend the massive and extravagant affair last night. Among 8000 guests including business tycoons, sports and cinema personalities, legendary singer, Asha Bhosle was also in that list who attended Modiji’s oath ceremony.

After the grand ceremony reached its end, the 85-year-old singer was stranded alone and unable to go home due to crowding and security. When actor- turned- politician Smriti Irani noticed this, she went to Asha ji and helped her to get out of the venue safely.

Asha Bhosle touched with this sweet gesture of Women and Child Development minister Smriti Irani. The legendary singer took to her Twitter profile to share about the incident and thanked Smiriti Irani .”I was stranded in the crazy rush post PM oath ceremony. No one offered to help me except @smritiirani who saw my plight & made sure I reached home safely. She cares & that’s why she won”, she tweeted.

Irani also reacted to the tweet with a folded hands emoji.

Apart from Asha Bhosle, Bollywood celebs like Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput, Karan Johar, Sushant Singh Rajput, ANupam Kher, Anil Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Kangana Ranaut,Kelash Kher, Siddharth Roy Kapur attended the oath taking ceremony.

In the recently-concluded general elections, BJP leader Smriti Irani defeated Congress President Rahul Gandhi by 55,120 votes in Amethi, which was Congress’ bastion for the longest time.
